Here we are, rolling into May and I am so excited!
April sales for eBooks were FANTASTIC and the momentum has carried into the new month with the sales numbers continuing to climb!
The cover art for my next release, “An Early Spring”, is days from completion and it looks incredible! Artist/Illustrator, Elizabeth Whelan, has captured the image I had dancing in my head perfectly and I can’t wait to share it with you!! Her talent is awe inspiring! It looks like we’re still on track for an early June release and you can be sure I’ll let you know the moment it is available for purchase!
More good news….I am very close to finishing “Covered In Lace: The Lacey Sheridan Story” and it looks like I could have this novel in print before Christmas! Imagine that. Two brand new Ann Lister novels released in the same year; two very different story lines and characters, but both share the same major story thread: a smoking hot romance, and who doesn’t enjoy a story like that? I’ll post a teaser blurb soon for, “Covered In Lace”, to tide you over, but the wait won’t be long now! Many of you enjoyed “Sheet Music: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Love Story”, so you should remember the Lacey Sheridan character from that novel. “Covered In Lace” is her story.
I thank you all for your continued support. You truly keep me inspired to write! Feel free to contact me. I love reading your feedback!
And, please check out my newly reconstructed website at: http://www.annlisterpublications.com
I am thrilled to announce the birth of my new website: www.annlisterpublications.com What a lot of work and so many hours involved, but I did it – with the help from my good friend, Rob’n Mussell. I never would have imagined I would be able to figure out how to do so many new computer things during the creation of this website! Very exciting to embed web links with photographs of my books, connect web links with articles and reviews and so on. What a rush when it all comes together and it works! I hope you’ll all check out the site and feel free to offer your feedback.
My other exciting news is the addition of artist Elizabeth Whelan, www.elizabethwhelanillustrator.com to my book production team! She’ll be doing the cover art for my May release, “An Early Spring”. Elizabeth is a very talented artist and I’m honored she has agreed to work with me!
So we’re racing toward the finish line with this project and I can not wait to share “An Early Spring” with all of you! Stay in touch for upcoming announcements regarding a release date and a giveaway CONTEST!
Very best to you and happy reading!
The season of Spring brings all sorts of new things in my life. The new title, “An Early Spring“, is entering the final phase of production and I am so excited! The cover art is also in progress, and as soon as I have a thumbnail to share with you…..I shall post it! We’re on track for a late May early June release date and then my baby will be free to fly and available for you all to READ!
Here’s the Story Synopsis for An Early Spring:
With a blizzard bearing down on the mountain, Nick Gaffney went to work with the Search and Rescue Team at the Colorado Ski Resort he is employed, evacuating the vacationers occupying the mountainside cabins down to the base lodge. What should have been a standard rescue for Nick, turns into something much more life defining, when he finds the breathtaking beauty, Colby Hansen, injured and sitting up against a tree off the side of a ski trail.
Colby is a city girl, hating the cold and snowy elements any mountain offers – until she stumbles upon Nick. His rugged good looks and charm warm her on sight, making her feel safe for the first time in years.
Stuck for four days without power inside a mountainside cabin as the blizzard rages outside, Nick and Colby find the best source of heat comes while wrapped in each others arms and together they burn hot enough to melt a Polar Icecap.
After the ‘damsel in distress’ meets her Mountain Man rescuer, her neat and tidy world will never be the same.
The other big news I have to share is the construction of a brand new website!! I expect to have that ‘live’ within a week. Once the new site is up and running, I will post a message so you can all check it out!
Until next time, I wish you happy reading!
Ann Lister ~
I am excited to say I am in the final stages of editing my fourth book! The title for this new novel is, “An Early Spring”. The expected release date is May 2012 and I can’t wait for you all to read it!
This story takes place on the slopes of a Colorado ski resort. Hours before a blizzard hits the mountain, Nick Gaffney, working for the resort’s Search and Rescue team, is sent on a mission to find missing vacationer, Colby Hansen. Nick is able to get the injured Colby back to her cabin but the deteriorating weather prevents further evacuation down to the base lodge. While the storm keeps them snowed-in and without power for days, the electricity they create together is hot enough to melt an ice shelf.
When the storm clouds finally clear, they are forced to take a look at the reality of what happened between them – in and out of bed. Was it nothing more than a sensual distraction while being snow-bound or was it a love connection to last a lifetime?
Nick and Colby will give you a whole new meaning for the term: Cabin Fever.
An Early Spring is expected sometime in May of 2012.
Has a year really passed, since I last blogged?
So much has happened in that year, and almost all of it was good. I do have one sad note to share. When I first came up with the grand idea of creating my own website (www.annlisterpublications.com) to promote and sell my novels, an old high school classmate approached me and offered her time and computer expertise to do the job. Laura J. Scott put up with all my questions, the many changes I asked her to do on a moments notice, and never once complained or rolled her eyes. She was not only an old friend from my past, but a huge supporter of my writing. Sadly, in late July, Laura passed away suddenly; leaving us all to struggle with a tremendous sense of loss. And as I sit staring in utter confusion at the templates to my website, I find myself wishing she were here to help guide me through the process of managing it. I bet she’s laughing at me right now and reminding me how I should have paid more attention to her instructions when she was doing the job. Knowing she’s doing that, makes me smile. It’s difficult not to miss someone as special as Laura, but I am so very grateful to have had her in my life, even for such a brief period of time. My website will continue in her memory, with new updates, links, and more to be announced in the days to come. She will be missed.
And on a brighter note?
As we drift into another Fall season, I also have some fantastic news to share. The Kindle sales for my three published titles are through the roof! I broke new sales records in August and September is already surpassing August. So, for all you Kindle owners that are buying my books….I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I would also like to encourage my readers to leave a review on Amazon. If you enjoyed my books, tell everyone why and perhaps someone else can be entertained with my work.
What’s up next for release?
Well, I have a fourth novel, titled: “An Early Spring”, due in the Spring of 2012. This story takes place high in the Rocky Mountains at one of Colorado’s world-class ski resorts. While trapped inside a mountainside cabin during a blizzard, Nick, a Search-and Rescue Team Member at the resort, attempts to nurse an injured ‘city girl’ back to health. Hours alone together turn into days; as the storm continues to bury the cabin in a thick blanket of white, and feelings begin to grow. But can a relationship exist beyond a cabin fever romance, between a ‘city girl’ that hates the outdoors and a ‘mountain man’ that wouldn’t consider living anywhere else? Being snow bound never felt so hot!
What do I have in the works?
For those of you that loved the characters in my first novel, “Sheet Music: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Love Story”, you will see the return of a few of them in my current work in progress, titled: “Covered In Lace”. You may remember Lacy Sheridan, one of the founding members of a female rock band called Lace. I loved creating the character of Lacy and decided she deserved her own story. In “Covered in Lace”, I’ve given her the chance to find true love, like Annie Logan and Michael Wade did in “Sheet Music”. There will be more on-the-road and backstage musician antics and Michael and Annie return, too. Stay tuned for a future release date for “Covered In Lace”! I can not wait to share that story with you!
The very best to you all and I promise to blog again, soon!
